I’ve noticed that whenever Anya and Yor put Twilight’s mission in jeopardy, there’s a subsequent moment when he starts loving them more
Which is saying a lot because as a spy who abandoned his identity so completing his missions became his sole identity, he doesn’t see the people in his life as how they can contribute to how they can fulfill his missions. I mean, forming the Forger family is for the Operation Strix, but he doesn’t hate them for their flaws that could derail his mission. He loves them unconditionally.

Calvin’s dad is basically a Calvin who has learned that he can’t get away with running outside naked or throwing snowballs at neighborhood girls, but he is still precisely the same little shit under the thin veneer of civilization.
@lyricwritesproseCalvin and Hobbes has been one of my favorite things since I could read and Calvin’s dad one of my favorite characters, but that last comment blew my mind wide open. Of course that’s what he is. Of course.
one of the most subtly delightful things about calvin and hobbes is that you can SEE that calvin is his parents’ kid: his dad is so playful and imaginative, and his mom has a heck of a temper and a good sense of what’s right and wrong. calvin is a smart, passionate, imaginative kid who gets really upset when he thinks things are stupid or unfair. he drives his parents crazy sometimes because he’s a kid. but they were probably a lot like calvin themselves, when they were little.

I’ve been watching Good Omens for ’ll of about ten minutes and I have to say, I do like the poetry between hell’s most angelic demon and heaven’s most demonic angel coexisting
Through watching the rest of the show I went from “worst demon and worst angel- a demon that is too kind and an angel that is too hedonistic”, to “best demon and best angel- a demon so rebellious he can’t even cooperate with the rebellion and an angel so angelic he was ordered to love humanity and now refuses to stop”, and having finished, now, I’ve found myself resting on “two beings who are in fact very very human and love each other very much”
